Dr. Harris is a scholar-practitioner in the field of counselor education who divides his time between his clinical practice, training, teaching, and consulting outside of Raleigh, N.C. Dr. Rodney is currently serving as Assistant Professor in the CACREP-accredited, MA Clinical Mental Counseling Program at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He has been appointed as the Director of the Virtual Clinical Training Center.
Dr. Harris also operates a counseling and consulting agency, where he focuses on multicultural training, coaching and program design and development.
Research Interest
Complicated Grief/ Trauma in Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC), Community Mental Health Practices, Multicultural and Virtual Supervision and Health Disparities in communities of color.

A Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Clinical Supervision, Group Counseling, and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing. Licensed to practice in North Carolina and Virginia. Certifications include: Nationally Certified Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, Board Certified Telemental Health Counselor and Board Certified Coach.
